Ibai Golf Resort is located in Kuala Ibai, Terengganu, from which the development’s name is inspired from. Ibai translates to River in the Basque-Bahasa Melayu language and it is a fitting name for its location, where the river joins the South China Sea. The pristine and crystal-clear waters, and a nearby lagoon, adds to the river’s allure.
Our well-known resort is just 10 minutes from the charming town centre of Kuala Terengganu, and only a 45-minute flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Apart from the Ibai Golf Resort, Kuala Ibai has several unique attractions.
Iconic Floating Mosque
The Tengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque is Malaysia’s first floating mosque and it combines modern and Moorish architecture. This beautiful structure spans across approximately 5 acres and it was constructed by us.
This unique landmark is a firm favourite among both tourists and locals. When the water recedes in the beautiful lagoon, visitors get to experience the coolness of the water.

You can get a smorgasboard of food and daily items here. Drop by and be pleasantly surprised.
Platform of Convenience
You can get to Pulau Kapas, Pulau Perhentian, and Pulau Lang Tengah from Marang Jetty.
Fishing
There are several serene and calm spots where you can soothe your senses with hours of fishing.
Barbecued Goodness
This is a popular favourite among locals, and the unassuming stall serves delicious Ikan Bakar (barbecued fish) under a bridge.
